Glencoe / Isle of Skye 4 Day Tour

Join me for an unforgettable four-day adventure that takes you deep into the heart of the Scottish Highlands and the enchanting Isle of Skye. This tour is designed to offer an immersive experience into some of Scotland’s most iconic landscapes, blending natural beauty with rich history. Day 1: Our journey begins with an introduction at Glasgow, Linlithgow or Dumbarton, as we set off on a scenic drive through the Highlands. We’ll stop at the Falls of Falloch and the Kings House Hotel, where you can admire the Highland stags in their natural habitat. Our next stop is Lagangarbh, known as the Wee White House, a perfect spot for capturing the essence of the Highlands.

We continue our exploration of Glencoe by visiting the Three Sisters, three towering peaks that dominate the landscape. At the Glencoe Visitor Centre, you’ll learn about the area’s geological and cultural significance, meet some friendly Highland cows, and explore the traditional Turf House. For Harry Potter fans, we’ll also visit the filming location of Hagrid’s Hut before ending the day with an overnight stay in Fort William.

Day 2: We depart Fort William and head to the Commando Memorial, a tribute to the soldiers of World War II. Next, we visit the Glenfinnan Viaduct, famously known as the Harry Potter bridge, and the landing site of Bonnie Prince Charlie, marking the beginning of the Jacobite Rebellion. We’ll also visit Saint Mary & Saint Finnan Church before continuing to Sligachan and the Fairy Pools. We end the day in Portree, where you’ll stay for the next two nights.

Day 3: Our third day begins with a visit to the Old Man of Storr, an iconic rock formation that offers stunning views if accessible. We then explore Lealt Falls and Kilt Rock, known for their dramatic cliffs and cascading waterfalls. In Staffin, we’ll see the famous dinosaur footprints, before heading to the Quiraing, Uig Harbour, and the mystical Fairy Glen. We’ll also visit Kilmuir Cemetery, where Flora MacDonald, a key figure in Scottish history, is buried. We return to Portree for the night.

Day 4: On our final day, we descend from Portree and visit Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland’s most photographed castles. We’ll take in the breathtaking views from the Inner Seas Viewpoint before driving back through Glencoe for one last photo opportunity. Our journey concludes in Glasgow, Linlithgow or Dumbarton, where we part ways after four days of incredible sights and stories.
