Immerse yourself in the world of Outlander with our Glasgow City Outlander Walking Tour. This tour takes you on an in-depth journey through some of the most iconic filming locations in Glasgow, combined with the city’s rich history and culture. Please note, this tour involves a substantial amount of walking, so be prepared for an active day!

We’ll start our adventure at Glasgow Cathedral, setting the stage for a day filled with exploration. It is a stunning medieval site, that is older than the city itself, and used as L’Hôpital des Anges in the series. We’ll also explore the Necropolis, a sprawling Victorian cemetery that offers incredible views of the city and ties to Scotland’s history.

Next, we’ll pass by the vibrant Sam Heughan mural, as the actor once did adverts for Tennent’s brewery. From there, we’ll head to St Andrews in the Square, one of the city’s most beautiful churches, and then to the impressive City Chambers, a backdrop for many of the show’s scenes.

Midway through the day, we’ll take a break for a proper Glasgow lunch, giving you a taste of the local cuisine. Afterward, we’ll embark on a Glasgow Subway adventure, riding from Buchanan Street to Hillhead, where we’ll visit the spot that served as Claire and Frank’s Boston brownstone.

Our tour continues with a visit to the University of Glasgow, where the iconic cloisters were used in Outlander as Harvard University. As we walk through this historic campus, you’ll feel the magic of the series come to life. We’ll then stroll through Kelvingrove Park, crossing the Prince of Wales Bridge, a serene spot with beautiful views.

Finally, we’ll hop back on the subway to Buchanan Street and conclude our tour in the heart of Glasgow’s city centre.
